STATEMENT OF FAITH

I believe in:

1. The deity of our Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:1; John 20:28; Hebrews  1:8-9).

2. His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:27).

3. His blood atonement (payment in full for our debt of sins) (Acts 20:28; Romans 3:25, 5:9; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 9:12-14).

4. His bodily resurrection  (Luke 24:36-46; 1 Corinthians
   15:1-4, 15:14-15).

5. His second coming (Matthew 24:30; Revelation 19:11-12; Acts 1:11, Revelation 20:1-6).

6. The divine inspiration and reliability of the scriptures
(Psalms 12:6-7; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20).

7. Salvation (eternal life) by God's grace through faith, not by  works. (John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5).

Note: Genuine saving faith does, however,  produce good works as a byproduct (Ephesians 2:10, James 2:17,18,  26).

8. One eternal and triune God

One God (James 2:19, Deuteronomy 6:4, Mark 12:29, 32, Deuteronomy 4:39, Isaiah 45:6, Malachi 2:10)

Forever only one God (Isaiah 43:10, 44:6, 41:4)

Plural Being (Father, Son, Holy Spirit
):  Genesis 1:1 (God = plural noun "Elohim"),  Deuteronomy 6:4 (God = plural noun "Elohim"); Genesis 1:26, 3:22, Matthew 28:19 ("name" - not names - of Father, Son and Holy Spirit), and hundreds of other scriptures.

Good, but inadequate analogies:

(a) A three leaf clover is one leaf

(b) 1 x 1 x 1 = 1
